Chamber Music

Chamber music is an essential component of your Juilliard education, and is designed to help you develop into a complete musician. At any given time, almost 100 chamber music ensembles are at work, coached by world-renowned performers and chamber musicians from groups including:

  • Juilliard String Quartet

  • American Brass Quintet

  • Orion String Quartet

  • Brentano String Quartet

  • Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center

  • Peabody Trio

  • New York Woodwind Quintet

  • Emerson String Quartet (former)

  • Guarneri String Quartet (former)

  • Orpheus Chamber Orchestra

One of the highlights of chamber music at Juilliard is the annual ChamberFest. Each January during the winter recess, 20 ChamberFest groups receive a week of intensive, non-credit coaching, culminating in a festival of eight concerts the following week.
